What Democracy Looks Like: Documentary of Occupy Boston Police Raid

Boston filmmaker Mike Gill has released a 10 minute documentary of the police raid on Occupy Boston protesters on October 11, 2011.

The Boston Phoenix reports,

“Earlier this evening, Gill released “WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE: THE VIEW FROM OCCUPY BOSTON,” a quickly-edited 10-minute documentary filmed the night the cops busted up the second encampment on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

If you want to know what it was like to be in camp on Monday night — as the Occupants planned strategy and held fast to each other, as protesters appealed to the consciece of the police, and ultimately as the cops came crashing into the camp, with the BPD’s Superintendent-in-Chief Dan Linskey screaming at his officers to hold the line and drive the marchers into the ground or into the streets — then watch this.”
