To celebrate the upcoming release of Iron Man 3, opening in theaters and IMAX 3D on May 3, Innoventions of Tomorrowland at Disneyland park in Anaheim, California is adding a new exhibit straight out of Tony Stark’s workshop.
Beginning Saturday, April 13 and on display through September, Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries will give Disneyland park guests the chance to see Tony Stark’s Hall of Armor, showcasing the Mark I-VII, the same seven suits of armor featured in Iron Man 3. Visitors will even be able to virtually ‘suit up’ and via simulation technology, see what it’s like to operate the latest pieces of the Mark 42 Iron Man armor, interact with Jarvis and even fire repulsor blasts.
Disney and Marvel Comics displayed an Iron Man 3 Hall of Armor at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con.
Directed by Shane Black, Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Ben Kingsley and Wang Xuequi.
The film pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
